In the meanwhile, if you are waiting for the next post, you might be interested in reading a story I’ve just had published, “The Mathematician’s Daughter,” on The Write Launch website:
It is fairly atypical from how I usually write, and it is taken from my collection of stories and novellas set at a fictitious university, Alma Mater.
Thanks as always for reading!
Hello Sonja,
I’m an innovative writer in search of innovative reading. The Mathematician’s Daughter lifted my heart. It is so witty, so fearlessly brilliant, so good on relationships and people who are not conventional. It was so unlike everything else. Daring. Wild. You can tell that your story thrilled me. I thought you had a book out, but I don’t find it. I want to read everything you write.
all good wishes, and keep well,
Joy
Thank you so much for your kind words, Joy! I’m so glad you liked it and I really had a lot of fun writing it, to do something completely unusual, to try to juxtapose the two most opposite things I could think of: math and love. Fingers crossed that I get the book it is in published. Stay well during this difficult time, and thanks again for reading.
I am very honored to say that this story has also received praise on this website:
